• ​People who are autistic are 3x more likely to take their own lives.

• People with DID have one of the highest risks for suicide. More than 70% of outpatients (actually receiving therapy) with DID have attempted suicide. Multiple suicide attempts are common.

• Combined statistics would be astounding once enough people were diagnosed.

• There is little to no help for systems, much less autistic systems via community or therapy, family, or otherwise.

• Media outlets (dramatic movies, fake social media, etc.) are ruining and taking lives by not accurately portraying autistic people or those with dissociation. Those who are already in swimming upstream each day are made light of and often villainized in the media, leading to feeling unable to ask for help. 

• Once diagnosed, a family of an affected person will turn to inaccurate media readily available, thereby furthering the stigma and isolating the person.

• Dissociative disorders and/or neurodivergence is extremely underdiagnosed and very common, yet not diagnosed because of minimal research, access to help, general acceptance and community.
